FOX found a hit show with Lethal Weapon this season, a show which was first a movie. To capitalize on this success, it has ordered another movie adaptation to series: Lethal Weapon 2. While Lethal Weapon will stay true to and derive from the first movie, Lethal Weapon 2 will be more associated with the second movie. Lethal Weapon 3 and Lethal Weapon 4 are also eyed to become TV series in the near future.
